Key Qualifications:
Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in California Previous experience working with pediatric or school-aged children preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to follow treatment plans developed by supervising Occupational Therapists Knowledge of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and school-based therapy practices Demonstrated organizational, time management, and documentation abilities Team player, adaptable to dynamic school settings
Primary Responsibilities:
Implement therapeutic activities and interventions targeting fine motor, sensory, and functional skills as directed by the Occupational Therapist Assist in conducting assessments and contribute to progress reports Document session notes and maintain compliance with school and state requirements Participate in IEP meetings or discussions as needed Collaborate with educators, therapists, and family members to maximize student success Organize and maintain therapy supplies and equipment Foster a positive and encouraging environment for students with diverse abilities This is a contract position ideal for professionals seeking to make a difference in students' daily lives while gaining experience in a school-based or pediatric therapy setting.
