Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Active state licensure to practice as a COTA Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric occupational therapy setting preferred Strong knowledge of educational best practices for therapy-based interventions Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork abilities Compassion, patience, and a commitment to fostering positive student outcomes

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students per their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and established goals Assist the Occupational Therapist with implementing treatment plans and documenting progress Utilize a variety of tools and activities to promote students fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills in classroom and school environments Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student access and participation in learning activities Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, student progress, and feedback Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute insights for student planning This opportunity offers the chance to make a real difference, supporting students in reaching their fullest potential within the school setting.
