Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and creative Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our collaborative team serving students across multiple private school campuses. This is a part-time position starting at approximately 15-20 hours per week, with potential for increased hours as the program grows.

Position Highlights:

Competitive hourly rate: $35-$40/hour Paid documentation time Flexible scheduling (Monday-Thursday, 8:30-3:30; no Fridays required) Service area spans schools from Irvine to San Juan Capistrano Supportive supervision from two experienced Occupational Therapists (OTRs) Collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment

Setting & Population:

You will work with students from preschool through 5th grade in private school settings. Our team includes psychologists, educational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and site coordinators, all working together to support student success.

Areas of Focus:

Handwriting and fine motor development Emotional regulation skills Motor planning and coordination Sensory processing needs

Responsibilities:

Provide direct occupational therapy services under OTR supervision Assist with student screenings (in collaboration with OTRs) to identify need for occupational therapy services Implement individualized and small group interventions Collaborate with teachers to develop classroom modifications and support strategies Communicate effectively with families via email and Student Study Team meetings Partner with school staff and administration to support student needs Maintain timely and accurate documentation (paid time provided) Adapt creatively to available materials and classroom environments

Qualifications:

Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant Experience in pediatric settings required, school-based settings preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to be flexible, resourceful, and creative in intervention planning Comfortable working across multiple school sites This is an excellent opportunity for a COTA who enjoys working in dynamic school environments and values teamwork, mentorship, and professional growth.
