Job Description

Make a meaningful impact in education by providing valuable support to occupational therapy services for young learners. This contract opportunity welcomes you to contribute your Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) skills in a dynamic school environment, working closely with skilled Occupational Therapists to help students in grades PK to 6 overcome challenges and reach important milestones. Your role will involve collaborating with other therapy professionals and educators to deliver individualized interventions throughout the school day, Monday through Friday from 7:45 AM to 2:45 PM. As a key member of the therapy team, your expertise will empower children to develop essential skills for academic and personal growth.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Experience working in school settings, especially with students in grades PK to 6, is a plus Familiarity with documentation, IEPs, and school-based therapy protocols Ability to communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, students, and families Organizational skills for managing a varied caseload and supporting multiple
OTs Key Responsibilities:
Assist Occupational Therapists in delivering therapy sessions tailored to student needs Implement treatment plans and engage students in exercises to enhance motor, sensory, and adaptive skills Track student progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to reporting for IEP meetings Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages student participation and achievement Rotate between classrooms and therapy spaces as needed to serve the school community
