This contract assignment is a vital backfill position covering for a leave until Christmas Break, with the possibility of extending through mid-January. You'll enjoy a consistent schedule of 30 hours per week, working collaboratively with other professionals to deliver meaningful interventions and help students thrive in their learning environment.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Active COTA license in the state of California Recent experience in a school-based setting, ideally at the elementary level Background in adapting therapeutic activities for students with diverse needs Strong communication skills with educators and families Ability to effectively document therapy sessions and progress Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive classroom atmosphere
Key Responsibilities:
Implement occupational therapy plans in partnership with supervising OT Help students develop fine motor, sensory processing, and self-care skills Collaborate with teachers to support classroom participation and accessibility Track student progress and provide feedback to the educational team Contribute to IEP meetings as needed and ensure compliance with school protocols Adapt activities and interventions based on evolving student needs This contract role offers competitive hourly pay from $45 to $54, reflecting your specialized skills and experience in the field.
