Key Qualifications:
Valid certification and license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in California Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably in a school or pediatric setting Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with students, staff, and families Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet individual educational and developmental needs Prior COTA experience in healthcare or education Organizational skills and time management to maintain caseload and documentation
Key Responsibilities:
Implement individualized occupational therapy plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist Provide direct OT support to elementary students to promote participation in daily school activities Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to address students' functional goals Accurately document student progress and provide timely updates to stakeholders Support the team in creating an inclusive, positive, and motivating learning environment Maintain adherence to all school and district policies and standards This opportunity is full-time at 30 hours per week, covering a leave until Christmas Break, with potential extension to mid-January. Compensation ranges from $45 to $54 per hour, reflecting your experience and expertise.
