Work closely with educators and licensed occupational therapists to help students develop crucial skills for academic success and daily participation.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Prior experience within school-based environments is highly desirable Recent experience working with children or adolescents preferred Strong communication and teamwork abilities Ability to follow treatment plans and document progress effectively
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist Implement interventions tailored to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to integrate therapy goals into classroom settings Collect and maintain accurate data on student progress and response to treatment Assist in evaluations and participate in IEP meetings as necessary This contract role is an excellent opportunity for COTAs looking to develop their skills in a school setting while making a difference for students with diverse needs.
