This full-time contract position offers a chance to collaborate with a supportive therapy team and serve students across a district for the entire upcoming school year. Part-time hours may also be considered for the right candidate seeking flexibility.
Key Qualifications:
Current and active Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license in California Experience working in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy settings preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and colleagues Ability to travel within the district as needed Passion for fostering students' independence and functional skills in a school environment
Your Responsibilities:
Provide direct occupational therapy intervention to students under the supervision of two Occupational Therapists (OTs) Support students' participation and success in academic and social activities as outlined in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Document student progress, maintain records, and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams Adapt and modify activities or environments to support student learning and engagement Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing training opportunities Enjoy a comprehensive benefits package that includes highly competitive compensation, weekly pay, a choice of insurance options (medical, dental, vision, life), a matching 401k, and access to a flexible spending account.
