9648964-93003 Job Description Make a lasting impact supporting student success by utilizing your expertise as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a dynamic educational environment. This contract opportunity allows you to collaborate closely with occupational therapists and education teams, directly assisting students in accessing their learning opportunities to the fullest. Your day-to-day will be filled with rewarding interactions as you implement individualized interventions, adapt classroom environments, and reinforce therapy plans tailored to each students unique needs. You will be instrumental in supporting students fine motor skill development, promoting daily living activities, and documenting progress to measure goals within the school setting.
Key Experience & Qualifications:
Active COTA license in California (or eligibility for one) Recent experience working in a school-based or pediatric occupational therapy setting preferred Excellent communication and organization skills Ability to establish rapport and motivate students Collaborative spirit working with therapists, teachers, and families
Responsibilities:
Implement therapy interventions as designed by occupational therapists Support individualized education plans (IEPs) for students Track and monitor student progress, maintaining detailed records Adapt materials and assistive devices to help students succeed within classroom routines Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and participate in meetings as needed Create an engaging and positive therapy environment
