Job Description

Step into a dynamic school-based environment, where your expertise as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) will make a meaningful difference for students from pre-kindergarten through sixth grade. As part of a collaborative team supporting multiple Occupational Therapists, you'll deliver essential services that foster student growth, participation, and success. This contract opportunity features a consistent weekday schedule, running from 7:45 am to 2:45 pm, giving you reliable hours while leaving late afternoons free for personal pursuits.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license Previous experience working in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred Understanding of IEPs and school-based therapy documentation Strong communication and interpersonal abilities Collaborative spirit and willingness to work closely with OTs, educators, and families
Core Responsibilities:
Provide direct therapy to students under the supervision of licensed OTs Implement intervention plans and suggest adaptations to foster student participation in school activities Support the development of fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills Assist in screening and assessment activities as directed Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and progress notes Participate in team meetings, contributing observations and insights to support students' needs Perks of this
