POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for the delivery of quality care to the patient/resident/client as directed by the Occupational Therapist(s) treatment plan.

EDUCATION

(must be required for position), LICENSE, CERTIFICATION and

EXPERIENCE

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required, Associates degree associated with COTA program 2.

Licenses:

Must have a current State of Colorado license in good standing. 3.

Certifications:

Must be Certified as an Occupational Therapy Assistant as approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association. Current BLS Certification, or receive within 30 days of hire 4.

Experience:

No experience required, new grads encouraged to apply.

REQUIRED SCREENINGS

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Reliable and punctual attendance is essential; expected to be at job as scheduled each scheduled day.
• Communicate necessary information to others as appropriate.
• Deliver occupational therapy services as planned, delegated and directed by Occupational Therapist.
• Document services provided.
• Report the condition of the patient/resident/client to the care team(s).
• Display critical thinking skills to assess and provide care to individual patient care needs.
• Provide care to assure compliance with insurance carries that is medically justified and skilled.
• Comply with ethical standards of practice and follows the Colorado State Practice act.
• Assist with orientation and in-service training for department staff members. Participate in training and educational programs.
• Train personnel, utilizing on-the-job training for nursing and other hospital staff, as well as departmental staff.
• Other job related duties as assigned.

GENERAL DUTIES

• Willingness to work weekends for inpatient hospital care as assigned.
• Willingness to fill in at all rehabilitation department facilities when staffing patterns require.
• Maintains patient/resident/employee privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Other job related duties as assigned.

Wage starts at $25.42 and goes up with experience Immunizations required for employment FHW offers a full benefits package including:
