Job Description

Sangre de Cristo Community Care is looking for a Full Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our dynamic team and serve patients in Pueblo and Canon City, Colorado. Serving a variety of patients across Southern Colorado, including pediatric patients and those with developmental disabilities, Sangre de Cristo Community Care is known for delivering exceptional high-quality compassionate care with a strong team of local health care professionals, including skilled nursing, physical therapy and occupational therapy, providing a seamless opportunity for high-quality hospice, palliative care, and home health services to residents in southern Colorado. Responsibilities:
Provides therapy under the treatment plans and supervision of the licensed Occupational Therapist. Completes visit notes accurately and timely. Reviews patient's injury/diagnosis and takes necessary precautions for observing indications and contraindications. Keeps the supervising therapist informed of patient status, problem areas, progress, etc.,
Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years of age. Successful completion of an Associate Degree from an Occupational Therapy Assistant accredited program and shall at minimum possess a current certification from the National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy (NBOT). Prefer experience with physical rehabilitation either through educational affiliations or prior work associations. Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in Colorado. Must have a valid non-restricted driver's license. Flexibility and availability to work a weekend schedule if needed. Two years of appropriate experience as a COTA.
