Job Description

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Home Health Celestial Home Health Care is seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide skilled occupational therapy services to patients in their homes. The COTA will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) and provide treatment according to the established plan of care. Responsibilities Provide occupational therapy treatments as directed by the supervising OT and established plan of care. Assist patients with improving independence and safety with ADLs and IADLs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, meal preparation, and household activities. Provide therapeutic activities and exercises to improve strength, coordination, mobility, endurance, and functional performance. Train patients in the safe use of adaptive equipment and assistive devices. Educate patients, family members, and caregivers on treatment techniques, safety, and home programs. Observe and document patient response to treatment and progress toward established goals. Promptly report significant changes in the patient's condition or progress to the supervising OT and appropriate clinical staff. Complete visit documentation accurately and within agency-required timeframes. Follow infection-control, patient-safety, HIPAA, and agency policies and procedures. Participate in care coordination and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Current Florida license as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. Current CPR certification. Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills. Ability to travel to patients' homes within the assigned service area. Home health experience preferred, but not required. empowers individuals to reach their full potential!
Pay:
$50.00 - $55.00 per hour
