Qualifications and Experience:
Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Previous experience or strong interest in working within a school setting Ability to adapt strategies to meet diverse student needs Excellent communication skills for collaborating with teachers, therapists, and families Knowledge of IEP documentation and familiarity with school-based therapy best practices
Responsibilities:
Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in accordance with prescribed treatment plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist Support students in achieving their educational and functional goals in classroom and group settings Assist in developing and implementing activities to promote sensory, fine motor, and daily living skills Complete documentation and maintain progress records as required by school guidelines Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure continuity of care and maximize student outcomes Participate in meetings, staff trainings, and family conferences as needed to support the therapy program In this role, you will have the opportunity to positively shape students' educational journeys through creative interventions and dedicated support.
