Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
Active and valid Florida COTA license is required Previous experience in K12 schools strongly preferred Confident navigating multiple school locations and comfortable with countywide travel Excellent communication, collaboration, and organization skills Compassion for students with a range of needs and backgrounds
Key Responsibilities:
Provide occupational therapy interventions in accordance with students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Collaborate with supervising Occupational Therapist, educators, and family members to foster students independence in school routines Conduct direct and consultative services, including small group and classroom-based support Document progress and report findings according to district and state requirements Adapt materials and tailor activities to facilitate student learning and participation Committed travel across Hendry County as assigned to ensure all designated schools receive support This role offers the flexibility and variety that comes with serving multiple school campuses.
