Job Description

Make a meaningful impact supporting students' communication in a dynamic K12 educational setting. This contract opportunity invites an enthusiastic professional to provide valuable speech and language services across multiple schools throughout Hendry County. Travel is an important part of this role, so a sense of adventure and flexibility to serve various school sites is a must.
Responsibilities include:
Deliver direct speech and language therapy to K12 students, adapting strategies to meet individual needs. Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement student IEP goals. Conduct screenings, progress monitoring, and documentation as required by school and state guidelines. Travel efficiently between assigned schools within the county, maintaining strong communication and organization. Support students with diverse backgrounds, ensuring equitable access to speech-language support services.
Desired qualifications:
Current, active Florida SLPA license is essential. Experience working in school-based settings is preferred and highly valued. Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach with multidisciplinary teams. Flexibility, positivity, and comfort navigating various school environments. Ability to work independently while managing a diverse caseload across multiple campuses.
