This full-time, on-site opportunity is located near Tallahassee, FL and welcomes travel professionals eager to work as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) specializing in pediatrics. Youll collaborate closely with a team of educators and therapists, providing essential occupational therapy services to children across various grade levels.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active state licensure required to practice as a COTA Previous experience working with pediatric clients, preferably in educational settings Familiarity with a range of school-based therapy interventions Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, students, and families Organized, proactive, and flexible approach to managing caseloads Comfortable working on-site and open to travel assignments
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services in alignment with students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Document and report on student progress, adjusting interventions as needed Work alongside occupational therapists and other school professionals in delivering comprehensive care Participate in team meetings and contribute to multi-disciplinary planning Provide resources and recommendations to teachers and families to support student success
