This contract-to-hire position offers full-time hours—37.5 hours per week over five days—providing the chance to make a positive impact in a supportive school environment. You'll play a vital role in delivering essential occupational therapy services as part of a collaborative team, helping students achieve greater independence and reach their potential in the classroom and beyond.
Qualifications & Experience:
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy Valid Illinois COTA license/certification Experience or strong interest in pediatric, school-based, or healthcare settings preferred Ability to connect with and support K-12 students from diverse backgrounds Excellent communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
Implement occupational therapy intervention plans developed by supervising OTs Provide support to students on your caseload, helping them develop fine motor skills, sensory processing, and adaptive behaviors for school success Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies Work collaboratively with teachers, school staff, and families to facilitate student participation and progress Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to individualized education plans as needed Assist with scheduling and caseload management to ensure efficient service delivery
