Job Description

Job Summary NeuLife Rehabilitation of Louisiana provides post-acute rehabilitation and residential services for individuals recovering from Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), Spinal Cord Injury (SCI), and other neurological conditions. Our mission is to help individuals regain independence and improve their quality of life through exceptional rehabilitative care. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our interdisciplinary rehabilitation team. This position will provide therapeutic services designed to improve clients' functional abilities, independence with activities of daily living, and overall quality of life. The selected candidate will collaborate with physicians, therapists, nursing staff, clients, and caregivers to support individualized treatment goals. Responsibilities Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments (OT only). Develop individualized treatment plans and establish therapy goals (OT only). Implement treatment interventions to improve daily living and functional skills. Carry out treatment plans under the direction and supervision of the Occupational Therapist, as applicable (COTA). Monitor client progress and communicate updates to the treatment team. Educate clients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques, adaptive equipment, and home strategies. Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications to maximize independence. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, state licensure requirements, and applicable regulatory standards. Qualifications Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program (for COTA applicants) or Bachelor's/Master's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program (for OT applicants). Current Louisiana Occupational Therapist license or Louisiana Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in good standing. Experience in neuro-rehabilitation, brain injury, spinal cord injury, or post-acute rehabilitation preferred. Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to providing compassionate, client-centered care.
