Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic, full-time contract role as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) supporting students across multiple school sites near Quincy, MA. With a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm, this position offers a balanced routine ideal for professionals seeking meaningful work in educational settings.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required Prior experience in a school-based setting or working with children is highly preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with therapists, teachers, and parents Ability to manage time effectively and navigate multiple school locations during the workweek Knowledge of current best practices and regulations in school-based occupational therapy
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students as directed by a supervising Occupational Therapist Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans and activities Support students in achieving goals related to sensory processing, fine motor skills, self-care, and classroom participation Maintain accurate session documentation and report on students' progress Communicate with staff and families to ensure a coordinated approach to student care Travel to and provide services at various school sites as scheduled By choosing this role, you'll play a key part in enabling students to reach their full potential while experiencing the camaraderie and support of dedicated educational professionals.
