Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role where you'll support students in achieving their fullest potential! This full-time, contract opportunity is designed for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with a passion for working in school settings. Located near Quincy, MA, you'll make a meaningful difference each day by providing direct therapy services and collaborating closely with educators and other specialists.
Qualifications:
- Active COTA certification required
- Experience in a school environment or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Organized, adaptable, and able to manage diverse caseloads
- Team-oriented with the ability to work independently as needed
- Ability to implement IEPs and document progress effectively
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy interventions to students as directed by licensed OT
- Support development and implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to optimize student progress
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and therapy sessions
- Assist in assessments and contribute to treatment planning
- Participate in team meetings, staff development, and training as required
- Adapt techniques and materials to address students' unique abilities and needs
