9681014-02169 Job Description Step into a fulfilling role supporting elementary students growth and development as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a school-based setting near Quincy, MA. This contract position runs through June 16, 2027, offering you the chance to work closely with children and make a meaningful impact while collaborating under the supervision of an experienced OT. Youll serve a caseload of elementary-aged students, providing crucial therapeutic services that support academic and personal milestones.
Qualifications and Skills:
Active Massachusetts COTA license required Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred Strong communication skills for collaborating with students, OT supervisors, and school staff Understanding of school-based practices and documentation Ability to adapt intervention plans to diverse needs and individualized education goals
Role Responsibilities:
Provide occupational therapy interventions as directed by a supervising Occupational Therapist Support and document students progress toward IEP or 504 goals Maintain detailed records in compliance with school and state guidelines Work full-time (approximately 30 hours per week, about 6 hours/day, five days/week) within the elementary school setting Collaborate with educational staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams regarding students needs and progress With this opportunity, youll receive a competitive hourly rate between $33 and $38, paid weekly, and access to a comprehensive benefits packageincluding medical, dental, vision, life insurance, a matching 401k, and a flexible spending account.
