Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role where you'll support students in achieving their fullest potential! This full-time, contract opportunity is designed for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with a passion for working in school settings. Located near Quincy, MA, you'll make a meaningful difference each day by providing direct therapy services and collaborating closely with educators and other specialists.
Qualifications:
  • Active COTA certification required
  • Experience in a school environment or pediatric setting preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Organized, adaptable, and able to manage diverse caseloads
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work independently as needed
  • Ability to implement IEPs and document progress effectively
Responsibilities:
  • Provide occupational therapy interventions to students as directed by licensed OT
  • Support development and implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to optimize student progress
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and therapy sessions
  • Assist in assessments and contribute to treatment planning
  • Participate in team meetings, staff development, and training as required
  • Adapt techniques and materials to address students' unique abilities and needs
