Our treatments include Cheneau-Style bracing and a scoliosis-specific exercise rehabilitation program known as the Schroth Method. As a member of the Scoliosis 3DC team, you will work alongside practitioners Dr. Marc Moramarco, DC and Amy Heller, OTR/L and have the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge about scoliosis and make a difference in the lives of patients and their families by empowering, educating and enabling them to manage their condition.
Summary of Position:
To provide exercise rehabilitation services to patients (adolescent and adults) with scoliosis and/or kyphosis in a 1:1 setting. Specific training and certification will be provided to the successful candidate. Experience with and/or interest in spinal deformities is preferred. The Schroth program involves modified activities of daily living, sagittal plane exercises, passive/active/active assistive range of motion exercises, and 3D corrective exercises.
Requirements:
Once trained and certified, the candidate will assist in teaching individualized Schroth programs to patients in a 1:1 setting. Patients will have varying curve severity and age, with the majority ranging from 10-18 years old. Sessions are intensive and highly focused, ranging from 1.5-3 hours at a time. Prepare supportive written documentation Must be willing to work afternoon hours Must be able to work independently and as a team member Must be dedicated, compassionate, patient, flexible, and willing to learn Must possess the ability to communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other staff Background in scoliosis/kyphosis a plus.

Occupational Therapy Required Licensing/Certification:
Current MA Occupational Therapist license (OTR/L) or Certified OT Assistant (COTA)
NBCOT Certified Required Experience:
3-5 years experience working with pediatric/adolescent population
