Desired Qualifications:
Valid license or certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in Maryland Previous experience in school-based and/or healthcare OT settings preferred Familiarity with IEP documentation; training on district systems provided Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work independently while collaborating with supervising OTs and school staff
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs and treatment plans Collaborate with supervising Occupational Therapists, educators, and families to ensure comprehensive care Travel to assigned schools as needed (itinerant assignment; paid travel provided) Document services and progress within the district's chosen IEP system Participate in team meetings and utilize provided admin time for planning and reporting You'll enjoy working in a district committed to professional development, supportive leadership, and a mission-driven approach to student services. There is an intent to extend contracts or transition to permanent placement following the initial three-month assignment.
