Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners in a dynamic school environment! This position is ideal for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of students and enjoys working collaboratively. Youll provide services to a caseload of 32 students, with consistent supervision from a dedicated part-time virtual Occupational Therapist.
What youll bring:
Valid COTA certification and credentials for school-based practice Experience or strong interest in pediatric and school settings Excellent communication skills for partnering with educators, families, and virtual OT supervision Ability to implement OT interventions and document student progress Strong organizational skills to manage a dynamic caseload Your role will involve: Delivering high-quality occupational therapy sessions to students, in line with IEP goals and recommendations Collaborating closely with the supervising OT via virtual platforms to discuss student needs and therapy approaches Keeping clear and up-to-date records of therapy sessions, progress notes, and reports Communicating effectively with teachers, other staff, and families to support student outcomes Maintaining compliance with all school policies and procedures This contract position offers 32.5 hours weekly, allowing you to balance your professional life while impacting students growth and success.
