Scope of Work Under the direction and supervision of the Occupational Therapist, provides occupational therapy services to patients/clients to assist in improving basic motor functions, reasoning abilities, compensating for permanent loss of function by teaching patients/clients to perform tasks in their daily living and working environments. May provide treatment to patients/clients with cognitive impairment, psychosocial dysfunction and physical disability. Assists with patient/clients and caregiver education. Standard Qualifications Required Associate's Degree accredited therapy assistant program Therapy assistance experience Preferred Experience in neurological injury, TBI, and Spinal Cord injury (based on Spectrum Health entity) Preferred CRT-Occupational Therapy Assistant, Certified (COTA)

• NB-COT National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy Upon Hire required CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS)
• AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required Or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS)
