Key Qualifications:

Current Michigan license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Experience in a school-based setting or with pediatric populations preferred Ability to implement treatment plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Strong organizational abilities and adaptability in a fast-paced school environment

Primary Responsibilities:

Carry out therapeutic interventions and activities as prescribed by the supervising Occupational Therapist Assist with the assessment of students needs and progress, contributing observations and data Document sessions, maintain accurate records, and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings Support classroom staff by modeling exercises and strategies for student engagement and independence Help students develop or improve fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills necessary for academic success
