PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Cypress Valley Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation Are you a compassionate, motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) looking for a flexible PRN opportunity? Join the rehabilitation team at Cypress Valley Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents. As a valued member of our therapy team, you'll work alongside an experienced Occupational Therapist to help residents regain independence, improve daily function, and enhance their overall quality of life in a supportive skilled nursing environment. Position Summary Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant provides treatment interventions, implements individualized care plans, and monitors resident progress while promoting safe, effective rehabilitation. Responsibilities Implement occupational therapy treatment plans as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist. Assist residents in improving functional mobility, activities of daily living (ADLs), and independence. Accurately document treatment sessions, resident progress, and outcomes in accordance with facility policies. Collaborate with therapists, nursing staff, physicians, and family members to achieve the best possible resident outcomes. Educate residents, caregivers, and staff on therapy techniques, safety, and home exercise programs. Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and quality improvement initiatives. Travel to nearby affiliated facilities as needed to meet resident care needs. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Current state license or registration as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). Previous experience in a skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care setting is preferred but not required. Ability to safely assist residents with transfers and mobility, including lifting up to 50 pounds when necessary. Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills. Why Join Cypress Valley?
