Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic educational setting for the upcoming 26/27 school year, where your expertise as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) will make a real difference in students' lives. This contract opportunity is based near Waynesville, NC, and offers the chance to collaborate closely with therapists and educators to help children achieve their fullest potential. Ideal applicants bring experience in both healthcare and school-based COTA environments, as well as a passion for supporting students with diverse learning and functional needs. You'll be working alongside a dedicated team to deliver essential therapy services and help every child thrive.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Active COTA certification and North Carolina state licensure required Previous experience working with children in a school or pediatric setting preferred Strong knowledge of individualized education program (IEP) goals and implementation Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset Ability to adapt to various classroom environments and student needs

Primary Responsibilities:

Support occupational therapists in delivering therapy services within the school environment Conduct therapeutic activities and interventions as outlined in students' IEPs Monitor and document student progress toward therapy goals Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support students' educational success Contribute to the creation of supportive, inclusive learning spaces
