Outpatient & Hospital Setting Location:
Dickinson, North Dakota Pay:
$28.00-$40.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule:
Monday-Friday | Day Shift Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA/COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. This position primarily serves our outpatient therapy clinic with occasional support in hospital-based rehabilitation services. The OTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help patients improve functional independence, mobility, and daily living skills. We are proud to support new graduates and early-career clinicians and provide mentorship and training opportunities. Responsibilities Carry out occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist Provide therapeutic activities focused on improving activities of daily living (ADLs), strength, coordination, and functional mobility Assist patients recovering from injury, surgery, illness, or neurological conditions Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist Document therapy sessions and patient outcomes in the electronic medical record system Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, adaptive equipment, and home programs Maintain therapy equipment and a safe treatment environment Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare staff Qualifications Required Associate's Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program Current North Dakota Occupational Therapy Assistant License or eligibility to obtain licensure Certification through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) Strong communication and patient care skills New graduates are encouraged to apply.
