Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote patient independence Implement treatment plans developed by licensed occupational therapists, ensuring adherence to prescribed protocols Support pediatric occupational therapy programs, including interventions for childhood developmental delays and autism spectrum disorder Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and modify care plans based on patient progress and needs Facilitate patient transport within facilities and assist with transfers using manual handling techniques Document care activities accurately in care documentation systems, maintaining compliance with medical terminology standards Provide care for clients across various settings including acute care, geriatrics, neurodevelopmental disorders, and occupational health environments Requirements Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from an accredited program Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in pediatric occupational therapy is highly preferred Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical imaging relevant to occupational therapy practices Experience in inpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or home health environments is advantageous Strong communication skills for effective caregiver and client interactions Ability to assist with ADLs and perform manual handling safely and confidently Familiarity with treatment plan implementation and care documentation procedures Knowledge of medical terminology and experience working with clients with autism or childhood developmental delays Join us to be part of a passionate team committed to transforming lives through compassionate care!
