Qualifications:
Active state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in an academic setting Strong communication abilities for student interaction and team collaboration Adaptability and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment Commitment to fostering inclusive learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver hands-on occupational therapy interventions tailored to students individual goals Collaborate with occupational therapists, educators, and families to design and implement personalized therapy plans Document student progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with school and licensing requirements Support classroom participation by helping students develop fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills Engage in student evaluations and contribute to IEP meetings as necessary
