Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Per Diem Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team in Northfield, OH. This role offers flexible scheduling and the chance to work across various healthcare settings, including inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing facilities, and home health. The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient care, possess strong communication skills, and have experience working with diverse populations such as pediatrics, geriatrics, and individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders. Responsibilities Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and well-being Implement treatment plans under the supervision of licensed occupational therapists in various settings Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and progress monitoring Support pediatric occupational therapy initiatives for clients with childhood developmental delays or autism spectrum disorder Facilitate patient transport within facilities and assist with manual handling to ensure safety during therapy sessions Document care activities accurately in care plans and medical records following facility protocols Communicate clearly with clients and caregivers to explain treatment procedures and progress updates Qualifications Valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license or certification in Ohio or relevant state Proven experience assisting with ADLs and implementing treatment plans in inpatient, outpatient, or skilled nursing environments Experience working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, disabilities, or in pediatric occupational therapy settings Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and medical imaging relevant to occupational therapy practice Strong communication skills for caregiver and client engagement and documentation purposes Ability to adapt quickly across different healthcare environments such as home health or occupational health clinics Prior experience working with geriatrics and patients recovering from acute care or inpatient stays is highly desirable Join our team to make a positive impact on patients' lives while enjoying flexible scheduling options.
