Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist or COTA to join our pediatric multidisciplinary team in Shawnee, Oklahoma. In this vital role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat fine motor, visual motor, visual processing delays across diverse patient populations, with a special focus on pediatrics and early intervention. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives by providing comprehensive patient care rooted in evidence-based practices. Role and Responsibilities •Evaluate and assess pediatric patients with developmental delays, sensory processing disorders, fine motor challenges, and other functional deficits. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve daily living skills, motor coordination, sensory integration, integration of primitive reflexes, and adaptive behaviors. Collaborate with families to provide education and home programs that support therapy goals. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with clinic and insurance requirements. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings with speech therapy and other professionals as needed. Monitor patient progress sand adjust treatment plans as needed. Ensure compliance with ethical and professional standards set by AOTA and state licensing board. Qualifications and Education Requirements Master's Degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program OR Associate's Degree as Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Current state license and NBCOT certification Pediatric experience preferred New graduates may be considered Preferred Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with children and families. Ability to manage a caseload efficiently and adapt therapy techniques to individual needs. Familiarity with feeding therapy and primitive reflex integration is a plus but not required.
