Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Embark on an exciting opportunity supporting preschool and childcare students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference, helping young learners in the Bethlehem and Stroudsburg areas reach vital developmental milestones. Beginning August 18, 2026, and extending through July 30, 2027, you'll enjoy a consistent Monday-Friday schedule from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM, working 37.5 hours each week.

Key Skills & Experience:

Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings is highly desirable Strong ability to collaborate with OT supervisors, teachers, and support staff Comfortable working across multiple preschool and childcare locations Adaptability and creativity in responding to changing caseloads (starting with 30 students, increasing up to 50) Solid organizational skills and the ability to manage documentation and scheduling tasks independently Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children, families, and educational staff

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct therapy services to preschool and childcare students as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist Assist in implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) and therapeutic activities Support assessments, data collection, and accurate record-keeping for each student on caseload Collaborate with classroom staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into daily routines Communicate progress and recommend adjustments to therapy plans as needed This contract position allows you to positively impact children's lives while gaining valuable experience in educational settings.
