This contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students across Carbon and Lehigh counties. You'll take part in a supportive educational environment, collaborating with other professionals and helping students achieve their full potential.
Ideal Qualifications & Experience:
Active Pennsylvania Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license Current NBCOT certification as a COTA Experience working with children or adolescents, especially within schools or special education Ability to work flexibly within Carbon and/or Lehigh County Willingness to support students with diverse needs and disabilities Comfortable adhering to a weekday, school-based schedule of up to 35 hours per week Must be available for an in-person interview
Key Responsibilities:
Provide occupational therapy services to students in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Work collaboratively with teachers, school staff, and families to promote student participation and success Complete documentation and progress tracking in line with school and regulatory requirements Adapt activities and environments to enhance student learning and engagement Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and team planning sessions Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards as set forth by Pennsylvania requirements and NBCOT Perks of this
