Full Job Description Overview:

CLINIC BASE AND HOME BASE CLIENTS

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team. As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to provide therapy services to patients of all ages. Responsibilities:

• Assist in the evaluation and assessment of patients' functional abilities
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patients' needs and goals
• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve patients' motor skills, coordination, sensory integration, and daily living activities
• Monitor and document patients' progress during therapy sessions
• Collaborate with the Occupational Therapist and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and strategies for continued progress at home
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of occupational health principles and practices
• Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Experience in acute care settings, including medical imaging and pediatric care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Ability to adapt treatment plans based on individual patient needs
• Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges during therapy sessions

Requirements:

• Valid certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure
• CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
