Position Summary The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) provides occupational therapy interventions under the direction and supervision of an Occupational Therapist to help residents achieve their functional goals. Responsibilities Implement treatment plans established by the Occupational Therapist, focusing on ADLs, functional mobility, and other daily tasks. Monitor resident responses to treatment and report progress and concerns to the OT. Assist with resident and family education regarding adaptive techniques and equipment. Complete timely and accurate documentation of services provided. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support resident goals and discharge planning. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Current, unencumbered COTA license in the state of Tennessee. Long-term care/skilled nursing experience preferred. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
