Our Company Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation Overview Occupational Therapy Assistant/COTA - (PRN) - El Paso, TX Rehab Without Walls is seeking a COTA to join our community-based neurorehab team. If you're passionate about functional, real-life therapy and value flexibility & clinical autonomy, this role is for you. (2+ years experience preferred in neurorehab) What makes this opportunity unique: Provide therapy where life happens — homes, workplaces, schools, grocery stores, and the community Treat adults with complex neurological injuries (TBI, CVA, and more) Flexible schedule you design Co-treat & Collaborative with an expert rehab team Clinical autonomy and opportunities for growth Responsibilities Assisting the Occupational Therapist in the implementation of vocational and educational activities designed to restore and reinforce individuals' task performance and promote their overall health and self-sufficiency Designing and adapting equipment for working and living environments, including fabricating assistive devices to improve participation in the program and/or community Conducting community reintegration activities to assist individuals with their occupational therapy needs during physical activity Providing training to individuals and any others involved in their rehabilitation, and documenting results of the training Supporting individuals' plan of treatment by documenting and reporting status changes to the rehabilitation specialist, clinical coordinator, attending physician, and other treatment team members as appropriate Other duties as assigned Qualifications Degree from a certified occupational therapy assistant training program Current Occupational Therapist Assistant certification Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and neuro-rehabilitation techniques Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience assisting in the assessment and management of traumatic brain injury or related neurological conditions Current CPR certification Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and orthopedic rehabilitation techniques About our Line of Business Rehab Without Walls, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, is a revolutionary neurorehabilitation program that moves individuals outside the walls of institutional settings and into their natural home and community environment through a continuum of care.
