Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including dressing, grooming, and mobility tasks, to promote independence and improve quality of life Implement treatment plans designed by occupational therapists, ensuring therapeutic goals are met effectively and safely Support pediatric occupational therapy sessions focused on childhood developmental delays and autism spectrum disorder interventions Collaborate with healthcare professionals such as physicians, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, and caregivers to coordinate comprehensive care strategies Document care activities accurately in client records, including progress notes, treatment outcomes, and care documentation compliant with healthcare regulations Assist with medical imaging procedures when necessary and understand relevant medical terminology to support clinical workflows Requirements Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from an accredited program Prior experience working in inpatient settings, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, or home health environments is highly preferred Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to occupational therapy practices across diverse populations Experience working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, disabilities, or age-related conditions such as geriatrics or occupational health issues Proficiency in assisting with ADLs, treatment plan implementation, and care documentation Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients and caregivers effectively Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and competently during patient care activities Familiarity with medical terminology and the use of medical imaging when applicable Join us to empower clients on their journey toward improved independence!
