This contract position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping students reach their fullest potential in an educational setting. You'll be working full-time, 35 hours per week, at one dedicated school site and collaborating closely with an Occupational Therapist as part of a dynamic team. Your assignment begins on August 27 and will continue until the district secures a direct hire, ensuring continuity of care and opportunity for impactful student interactions. The position runs Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., providing a consistent work schedule and the chance to foster ongoing relationships with students and school staff.
What We're Looking For:
National certification and current state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Previous experience providing COTA services in a school setting is required Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, staff, and families Ability to support and implement Occupational Therapist treatment plans Organizational skills to maintain documentation and schedules effectively Flexibility and adaptability within a school environment
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct treatment and support to students under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist Implement therapeutic activities and interventions to help students achieve educational goals Assist with evaluations and develop progress reports Collaborate with educational staff and families to ensure integrated support Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions Adapt strategies to meet the needs of a diverse student population This opportunity enables you to develop your skills while making a real difference in students' lives within a nurturing school environment.
