Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic educational environment and help make a measurable difference in students' lives as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This full-time, on-site position offers the opportunity to work across multiple schools within a district-wide K-12 caseload. You'll engage with students, educators, and families to deliver essential therapy services tailored to each student's unique needs.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

Active Washington State COTA license, current and in good standing NBCOT certification required Previous experience in a school-based or special education setting preferred Ability and willingness to travel between multiple school buildings daily Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong commitment to supporting students' occupational therapy goals

Core Responsibilities:

Collaborate with occupational therapists, educators, and other team members to provide direct and consultative OT services to K-12 students Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapy interventions designed by the supervising OT Support students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, and adaptive skills needed for success in the classroom Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and sessions Communicate regularly with staff and families regarding student development and strategies Attend team meetings and contribute insights to support a collaborative educational environment
