Responsibilities Provide occupational therapy assistant services to the geriatric population in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) in accordance with the established plan of care. Collaborate closely with the Occupational Therapist and interdisciplinary care team to help residents achieve their functional goals and maximize independence. Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while maintaining productivity and documentation standards. Serve as the day-to-day Team Lead for the therapy department, supporting clinical operations and fostering a collaborative team environment. Assist the Program Manager with daily administrative and operational responsibilities, including coordinating workflow, communicating departmental updates, and supporting scheduling needs. Act as a resource and mentor for therapy team members, promoting teamwork, engagement, and best practices. Help facilitate communication between therapists, nursing, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care. Support onboarding and ongoing development of new team members, as appropriate. Assist with maintaining compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and documentation standards. Participate in department meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and other projects that support operational excellence. Build positive relationships with residents, families, and staff while contributing to a culture of compassion, accountability, and exceptional customer service. Perform additional clinical and administrative duties as assigned by the Program Manager. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be required to maintain productivity standards and complete required documentation. More importantly, you will help your patients achieve critical outcomes while acting as a trusted partner to the community you serve. Qualifications Be a graduate of an accredited school for therapy.
