Long-term care nursing home (skilled nursing facility) Responsibilities Provide occupational therapy services to residents under the supervision of a licensed OT, focusing on activities of daily living and functional mobility. Assess resident needs, participate in treatment planning, and implement therapy interventions to improve independence. Instruct and assist residents with therapeutic exercises, bedside activities, and adaptive devices to enhance safety and functional skills. Document progress notes, goals, and response to therapy in accordance with facility policy and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with nursing and rehabilitation staff to coordinate care, track goals, and support discharge planning and caregiver education.
