Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and efficiently manage patient intake processes, including collecting medical histories and updating records. Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and other relevant health data to assist with comprehensive eye exams. Prepare patients for examinations by performing preliminary tests like visual acuity assessments and auto-refractor measurements. Assist the optometrist during eye exams by setting up equipment, maintaining aseptic technique, and ensuring all tools are properly sanitized in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Epic or similar platforms to ensure accurate documentation of patient interactions, diagnoses, and treatment plans. Excellent patient care skills with a friendly, professional demeanor that fosters trust and comfort. Basic retail math skills for managing sales transactions and inventory related to optical products. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure strict confidentiality of patient information. Experience with pediatrics or clinic environments is a plus; certification in medical coding or billing is beneficial but not required. Embark on a rewarding career path where your dedication to patient well-being makes a real difference! We value energetic team players eager to grow their expertise in eye care while providing top-tier service in a vibrant clinical setting.
