Our team includes 7 ophthalmologists specializing in cornea, refractive surgery, glaucoma, and comprehensive care, along with 10 optometrists providing medical, routine, and specialty exams. We are committed to delivering an "Eyecare Experience Like No Other" by combining advanced technology, clinical excellence, and a collaborative, team-focused culture. Position Overview We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Traveling Ophthalmic Scribe & Technician to support our surgeons across multiple locations, primarily in Sun City, Goodyear, and Central Phoenix with occasional travel to North Scottsdale . This is a dynamic, hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys variety, teamwork, and working directly with physicians and patients in a fast-paced clinical environment. Key Responsibilities Accurately document exam findings and procedures in the EMR in real time Prepare and send prescriptions and orders under physician direction Assist with proper coding (ICD-10 & CPT) Support physicians during exams and in-office procedures Perform patient workups, including entrance testing and diagnostic testing Ensure patient flow remains efficient and organized Travel between clinic locations as scheduled What We're Looking For Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask Excellent communication and teamwork skills Professional, dependable, and adaptable Willingness to travel between Valley locations Preferred (but not required): Experience in ophthalmology or optometry COA/COT certification or Medical Assistant certification Schedule 32-40 hours per week Daytime schedule (no late nights) What We Offer Competitive pay Medical and dental insurance (for 30+ hour employees) 401(k) with company participation PTO/PST accrual starting on day one Quarterly clothing allowance Paid training and certification support Continuing education allowance for certified staff Why Join Horizon?
