Job Description

Position Overview:

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a goal-oriented, and ambitious optometric medical assistant (patient care coordinator) , where you will enhance patient care and streamline clinical operations at a private specialty care optometric practice. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a strong sense of urgency, and can confidently manage multiple responsibilities while providing excellent patient care. You must be organized, dependable, highly motivated, and comfortable taking on a leadership role. Strong communication, multitasking, problem-solving, and customer service skills are essential. We are highly supportive of each other's success and can't wait to meet you! You must be available Tuesdays through Fridays 9 AM

•5:30 PM and Saturdays 9AM

•1 PM Key Responsibilities Front Desk & Patient Coordination Check patients in and out while providing a welcoming and professional experience Schedule and coordinate patient appointments Answer incoming phone calls and respond to emails in a timely manner Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Create patient invoices and assist with billing-related tasks Manage daily front desk workflow and prioritize tasks based on urgency Communicate effectively with patients, doctors, and team members Insurance & Billing Bill vision and medical insurance for eye exams and contact lens supplies Create and maintain accurate patient invoices Verify and document insurance-related information as needed Pretesting & Clinical Support Perform patient pretesting (autorefractor, visual fields, retinal imaging) Obtain blood pressure and intraocular pressure (IOP) Neutralizing lenses and other optical support Assist with maintaining an efficient patient flow throughout the office (front desk, pretesting, exam room, optical area and check out) Contact Lens Coordination Order contact lenses and manage contact lens-related orders Provide contact lens training and insertion/removal instruction for new patients of all ages using soft, hard and specialty contact lenses Follow up with patients regarding contact lens needs Provide knowledgeable and friendly customer service throughout the contact lens process Work toward achieving contact lens sales goals and identify opportunities to educate patients about products and services Myopia Management Coordinator Responsibilities Perform corneal topography measurements Coordinate and manage myopia management patients exam schedules Order specialty contact lenses Communicate with parents regarding appointments, follow-ups, and patient's needs Maintain organized records and ensure patients remain on set schedule with their treatment plans Confidently discuss program costs, available options, and the different myopia management programs with parents Provide excellent communication and customer service to families throughout the process

Pay:

$22.00

•$24.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0

•37.0 per week
