Position Overview Retina Specialists of Beverly Hills is seeking a motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Assistant/Technician to join our busy retina practice. The ideal candidate will perform comprehensive patient workups, obtain high-quality diagnostic imaging, prepare patients for examinations and treatments, and help maintain an efficient clinical workflow while providing exceptional patient care. Key Responsibilities Obtain and document accurate ocular, medical, surgical, and medication histories. Measure visual acuity and intraocular pressure (Goldmann applanation preferred). Perform ophthalmic testing, including pupillary assessment, APD evaluation, confrontation visual fields, and extraocular motility. Properly dilate patients and educate them on post-dilation precautions. Perform diagnostic imaging using the Heidelberg Spectralis (OCT, FAF, FA) and Optos California systems. Prepare patients for examinations, retinal procedures, and intravitreal injections. Assist the physician during examinations, injections, and office procedures. Accurately document findings in the EMR. Ensure all testing and imaging are completed and available before physician evaluation. Maintain examination rooms, equipment, and supplies according to clinic standards. Provide compassionate, professional patient care while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Travel between clinic locations as needed. Qualifications Minimum 1 year of ophthalmology experience (retina preferred). Strong knowledge of ophthalmic terminology, ocular anatomy, and retinal diseases. Experience with Heidelberg Spectralis, Optos, Goldmann tonometry, and ophthalmic imaging. Experience using EMR/EHR systems ( Nextech ) Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills. Professional, dependable, and patient-focused. COA certification is a plus but not required. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Pay:

$24.00 - $28.00 per hour
