Job Overview:

We are seeking a bright, detail oriented and compassionate Optician/Optical Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist our optometrists in providing exceptional eye care services to our patients. Patient and customer satisfaction is very important to us. Great interpersonal and phone skills are a must.

Duties:

• Conduct preliminary testing on patients, including AR, and IOP.
• Prepare patients for examinations by gathering medical history and explaining procedures.
• Guide patients in selecting frames and explain their vision insurance allowance to help them and finalize the sales.
• Perform diagnostic tests such as visual field testing, and retinal imaging.
• Assist with contact lens fittings, insertion, and removal instructions.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic medical record systems.
• Handle administrative tasks like scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and processing billing.
• Travel between offices.

Skills:

• EHR and computer skills
• Experience with VSP, Eyemed, and Spectera.
• Korean bilingual Preferred
• Friendly customer service in-person and over the phone.
